We started our ‘they eat the world’ year off by flying from Hong Kong to Busan, Korea where we spent a few days before our onward journey to Russia.

Lake Baikal is the world’s largest freshwater lake in terms of volume. It is also the deepest lake in the world. Olkhon Island is surrounded by Lake Baikal and is the third largest lake island in the world.
They Eat... the Trans-Siberian
We spent 66 hours on the Trans-Siberian train traveling from Vladivostok to Ulan-Ude (near 3500 km).
They Eat.. Vladivostok
We flew from Busan to Vladivostok - our first stop in Russia before getting on the Trans-Siberian Train for a 9000+ km journey to St. Petersburg.

It is Day 82 of our year on the road. I know it has taken us nearly 3 months, but this is our first blog entry to share our experience and emotions during our travels.
